A New Jersey pet store owner was charged with 267 counts of animal cruelty after authorities said he exposed healthy animals to ones with infections and diseases and hid three dead dogs in a freezer.

The story says there are four Just Pups locations in New Jersey. There is also a location in Valhalla, NY, which CAPS has twice investigated. The store uses its own van to pick up puppies from Midwest mills and transport them to NJ. The NY store has very few interstate health certificates because most of the puppies are coming over from the NJ stores without the required interstate health certificates to cross over from NJ to NY.
