When illness begin end I purchased my puppy 12/18/10 at around 8:00 pm, he was admitted into the vet hospital 12/19/10 at around 8:00 pm, where he had to stay hospitalized till December 24, 2010 when he was put down.

Please describe conditions When I went in, it was almost closing time. There was paper all over the floor, the cages seemed small, and I didn't focus too much on my surroundings. I immediately saw the dog I wanted and was distracted by that. On Saturday, December 18 at around 8 pm, I purchased a puppy from Puppies, Puppies, Puppies at 650 Central Park Ave Yonkers, NY 10704. The next night (Sunday, December 19) at 7 pm I had to rush to the emergency room with him because he was throwing up and had severe diarrhea. He was diagnosed with parvo, which is a life threatening illness that puppies get either from their mother's or another dog's feces. As soon as I noticed he was sick I contacted the pet shop. They told me to give the dog rice and pepto. They wanted me to take the dog to them so they could give me medicine for him. Later on, I found out that the medication was to treat worms, which would have not helped his condition. This is when I knew something wasn't right. They aren't licensed vets! I decided to take my dog to a reliable animal hospital where he was diagnosed with parvo. I immediately called the pet shop owners to make them aware of the situation and they gave me a hard time. They tired to say that I was lying about the condition of my dog. My dog was admitted into the hospital and spent almost a week there. I was in contact with the doctors everyday, hoping that he would get better. During my dog's stay at the hospital I remained in contact with the pet shop owners about his condition. They still refused to believe me. I got a call on December 24th at around 9:30 am telling me his condition had gotten worse than the last two days and it wasn't getting better and maybe I should consider what was best for him rather than for me. In the end, he was put to sleep later on that day. Either on the 27th or 28th, I called the pet shop to let them know what had happened. The guy, Lou said it was fine and he wanted me to fax over the paper work. On Wednesday Dec. 29, I received a call that they wanted the puppy back for an autopsy! They claimed the breeder wanted to get an autopsy done to confirm that this was really going on. The lady we spoke to, Vicki, said she wanted to confirm that was the dog she sold us. She accused us of switching the dog and is giving us a hard time to help pay our bill, which clearly states in the contract that they will pay up to the price of the dog! While my puppy was in the hospital I reread all his paper work and found out he came from a place called Crittersville in Nebraska. When I contacted the number I told them my situation and the guy said I had to call the next day to speak to a manager. I agreed and asked him for her name. He said it was Tanya, and when I asked for her last name he refused to give it to me saying that he didn't know who I was and when I asked again he hung up on me. On one of my regular calls to the hospital, I spoke to an employee from the hospital who told me someone else he knew also purchased a puppy 15 days before me at Puppies, Puppies, Puppies, the same pet shop, and he was also admitted into the hospital. I contacted the owners of the dog and their story was very similar to mine. They did research like me, and found out that Crittersville is a puppy mill in Nebraska and the reason they hung up on me when I called was because the lady "Tanya" has been known to breed in a mill. Today January 3rd I called the pet shop to see what was going on with the autopsy and make Lou (owner) aware of the fact that I wanted any paper work that was being processed regarding his condition and what was done. This conversation didn't get too far because he basically shut me down and said I'm not getting my money until he gets the dog! I mean seriously, does he think I'm getting my dead dog to confirm his ignorance! So now in the end, I'm left with HUGE bill, no dog, a broken heart, and a headache from a pet shop who fails to face their mistake! Our Christmas gift was taken away from us and now we want something to be done. Please help us get out money back and make others aware of the conditions of the dogs at this pet shop. Till this date, January 15th, I have no received my money from the shop.
