Peaceful Protest at Barkworks

URL: Publication date: 2009-12-21 Publication name: CAPS Headline: Peaceful Protest at Barkworks View video: Summary: On 12/19, the Companion Animal Protection Society held a peaceful protest at Westside Pavilion Mall in Los Angeles. Located inside the mall is one of seven Barkworks stores. Barkworks obtains puppies from mills. This is a landmark demonstration for the California animal protection movement because pet shops that sell puppy mill dogs inside shopping malls, have, until now, been immune to the increasing public outcry over the puppy mill issue.
