CAPS Table at the "Annual Smithtown Festival Day"
Check out the following pictures of the CAPS table at the "Annual Smithtown Festival Day" in Smithtown, NY.
About 15,000 people attend every year for the various vendors, entertainment, and food.
CAPS NY Director Barbara Dennihy took a booth for the second year in a row to educate consumers about pet shops and puppy mills.
There was lots of interest this year. The huge "Models Against Pet Shops and Puppy Mills" banner had people stopping by all day to ask about the campaign and our work.
Dennihy also spoke about New York State Senate Bill S3753 and how New Yorkers can help get it passed. Passage of this bill will allow local municipalities to regulate pet dealers in NY state communities.
Thank you Barbara for your hard work and dedication!
