Anti-Puppy Mill Group Protests Puppy Parlor Pet Shop
Companion Animal Protection Society protests pet shop in Lisle, Illinois for selling puppy mill dogs.
LISLE, IL, February 2, 2013 – Local pet shop Puppy Parlor advertises on their website huge store-wide sales but they exclude puppies. They find other ways to entice buyers with already low prices on dogs. The problem: selling pets from puppy mills might be a cost cutting move, but it comes with a high collateral price.

Puppy Parlor Protest 1-26-2013
Publication/Event date: 2013-01-26
Publication name: Lisle Patch
URL for more info: http://tinyurl.com/auvgwxk
Summary:
Thank you to everyone for your continued support to stop puppy mills! There are dogs locked up in cages in the back room of this place. And here are the statistics from the Illinois Department Of Agriculture:
2-17-2012 55 adult dogs - 40 puppies
4-20-2012 60 adult dogs - 50 puppies
7-6-2012 60 adult dogs - 45 puppies
How many dogs can we cram in those cages? This store is probably around 400 square feet. The back room? Who knows....nobody cango back there and see the dogs stacked in the cages. In my opinion, this is inhumane. If anyone has bought a sick or dying dog from puppy parlor, please go to www.caps-web.org and fill out a pet store complaint form. Thank you!

Peaceful Protest at Puppy Parlor
Publication/Event date: 2013-01-19
Publication name: Lisle Patch
URL for more info: http://lisle.patch.com/announcements/peaceful-protest-at-puppy-parlor
Summary:
Wow! Look at all these dedicated people spreading the word about where the puppies at puppy parlor come from, puppy mills. Not only do they use JAK'S puppies, Oleo Acres and, Conrad Kennels, in my opinion they are breeding dogs in the back room. According to the Illinois Department Of Agriculture reports we have, there are 40 - 60 adult dogs in the back room, 2 to a cage. Once again, I ask, where do these dogs go to the bathroom? When are they taken for a walk? When do they get vet care? When are they socialized? If you go to petabuse.com and search for Oleo Acres, you'll find a report stating that 2 men from Iowa delivering the dogs from Oleo Acres in Iowa were convicted of animal cruelty in Chicago in 2012. The police found the dogs stacked in cages, covered in urine and feces. Please visit www.caps-web.org and see the undercover investigation on Van Wyck, Prairie Lane Kennels, another mill this place uses. And to those two little creepy men walking around harassing us all day? We'll be back just to see you.

Puppy Parlor Pet Shop: Puppy Mill in Lisle, IL?
Publication/Event date: 2013-01-15
Publication name: Cindy Lu's Muse
URL for more info: http://cindylusmuse.blogspot.com/2013/01/puppy-parlor-pet-shop-puppy-mill-in.html#.UPbhb6FU7vk
Summary:
Much like in a residence, most visitors to the Puppy Parlor enter and spend their time in the front section (or parlor, if you will). Few ever step foot in the rear of the building, and definitely no visitors. The back room of the Puppy Parlor in Lisle has apparently been a well-kept secret - until now. Concerned citizens have expressed that it appears to be a puppy factory in its own right, within a store that sells dogs from puppy mills.

Group Demonstrates in Front of Puppy Parlor For Fourth Consecutive Week
Publication/Event date: 2013-01-12
Publication name: Lisle Patch
URL for more info: http://lisle.patch.com/announcements/puppy-parlor-protest-1-12-2012
Summary:
Another peaceful demonstration educating the public about the back room of the puppy parlor. Today the puppy parlor installed "security cameras" at the back door to the back room in the alley. They were putting up signs that say "Smile you're on camera". I watched one of the two men dress from the back of a van they were using, putting clothes on from the van, pants down, zippers being pulled up, thank the high heavens I didn't see any more, looked away, what a class act, cigarettes hanging from their mouth....installing these so called "cameras". They are probably fake, but just how really stupid can you be? We know we have to hide the back room, so we'll put up cameras???? What a blatant admission of guilt. I have NEVER seen this on any business anywhere. Why would you put that on a back door to your business? This is a business that sells to the public. The public has a right to know what they are buying. Why would somebody do this? Because they don't want you to see what you are buying? Smile, puppy parlor, you're on camera.
