| Diseases and Illnesses | mastocytoma. In less than 8 years of age our pug was diagnosed with cancer. There was a large mass, unknown origination, in her pancreas that closed her bile duct and caused jaundice throughout. There were also several smaller malignant tumors in each nodule of her liver. In a matter of 2.5 weeks she stopped eating, lost 4 pounds, started sleeping more frequently and passed in her sleep just last week. |

| Please describe conditions | The store itself is bright, clean, open. The store is not the issue really, it is the fact that they get ALL of their puppies from puppy mills in the Midwest but advertise as "health and quality being their #1 concern and all puppies are from small local breeders". It was a blatant lie told to us in 2004 and after a visit to the store last night, this is still the case. The breeders breeding conditions and lack of known lineage for the animal is why we were unaware of the congenial defects and probable history of cancer in her line. |
