| Diseases and Illnesses | Distemper, phnemonia, congenital hip displacement, abnormal liver function, seizure |
| When illness begin end | He had a bit of a runny nose when we brought him home. We took him to the vet within the first 7 days and were immediately given antibiotics.
After returning to the vet every couple of days the puppy was hospitalized for 5 days with phnemonia. Once released his front paw began to shake. At one point his paws were rough and textured and one day they peeled. It was then that the vet told us about distemper. I believe he was put on more antibiotics. After we stopped hearing from the vet we decided to get a second opinion. Second vet agreed with the strong case for distemper. Ran blood work finding abnormal liver. X-rays showed displaced hip. He was given more antibiotics. We took him to get an ultrasound of his liver. No liver shunt was found a biopsy was needed.
We took him to a nerologyst who agreed with all the previous doctors and added a second antibiotic and an anti seizure medication.
He was recently put on a liver supplement.
Puppy is recovering well with lots of love and care he is still alive.
Once he has overcome distemper we will focus on him liver and hip problems. |

| Please describe conditions | Puppies were kept in small crates stacked on top of each other. To the shopper it looks like a display case of puppies. Food was in a bowl in the crate. Water was in a water bottle attached the crate. Under the crate wire bottom was news paper. No blankets for the puppies to rest on. Our puppy had a small toy in his crate.
Tempurature seemed normal.
Seemed clean. On our return visit, to complain, dogs looked sad and many of them had eye discharge and crusty noses. |
