| Diseases and Illnesses | I know that you deal mostly with pet shops and puppy mills, but I adopted this puppy from a rescue and we now believe she has distemper. I've been in contact with someone who used to foster animals from this rescue and she claims that the puppies come from a puppy mill in Missouri. I just thought I'd let you know, because I'm guessing this same puppy mill is the source of the distemper outbreak that you mention in your article about Happiness is Pets. |
| When illness begin end | Started with a runny nose when we adopted - we were told it was kennel cough, but the dog later came down with pneumonia. She survived, after 5 days in the animal hospital, but has been on antibiotics ever since. Whenever she goes off of them she gets sick again. She is now having a thickening of her footpads. |

| Please describe conditions | I didn't see the conditions of the rescue as I met the person at a different location. However, from speaking with other people who used to foster for the rescue, the conditions are poor. The woman who runs the rescue also admitted to me that she never took the puppy to the vet and administered the only round of vaccinations the puppy recieved herself. |
