| Please describe conditions | The store itself looked pretty clean, however there were two Cavaliers... The kennel mate of the one we purchased was not active at all! We were told by one of the employees "this puppy is very shy" We looked and had both puppies out for at least 45 min. and the other pup hung in the corner the enitre time. Once we took our Cavalier home, the next day she developed this 'Croupey cough" She went down hill from there, She has been on antibiotics since the day after we bought her until present. We and our vet tried contacting the store manager and the breeder to get information on helping the puppy. The store manager has yet to call us back, althou we have called and visted the store on countless opportunities. Even our Vet had tried to contact the store manager to try to get info on her kennel mate, to maybe save our dog! The Store manager refuses to get in touch with us, and also refuses to help in any way. We decided to go down the street to the other pet store, Pet Parade where the owner of this store was more than willing to try to help us.. even though she knew we did not buy the puppy from her. She told us she has turned this store in several times, due to people coming into her store and claiming that they purchased a puppy from R & J's and the puppy died several days later. Which makes it hard for her business. Upon doing some investigating on my own, it seems R & J's buys their puppy's from a Judy Maason, who has sick puppies that she can not get rid of, so she sells them at discounted prices, which then gives the pet stores who purchase these sick puppies more of a mark up to be able to sell the sick puppies at a cheaper price than most. |
