| Diseases and Illnesses | December 8, 2010 we took him to the emergency room where he had to stay for 6 days. He was in isolation with IV, oxygen tubes and several medications. He was hardly able to breathe on his own and his xrays showed one lung was filled with fluids. After several days he was feeling better but his lungs were still not cleared up. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and bordetella (kennel cough) that was contracted before we purchased him. We took him home on 12.13.2010 and have seen a doctor weekly since. He is progressing day by day. He was only eating baby food if i fed it to him and water through a syringe i had to fight to give him. But now he is eating and drinking on his own and more playful. |
| When illness begin end | We took him home on 12.5.2010 and that night he had a runny nose. We took him to the "pet store's vet" the next day and she prescribed him Clavamox for a minor upper respiratory infection. The next 2 days he was getting progressively worse and on Wednesday 12.8.2010 he wasn't eating or drinking, very lethargic and vomiting so we had to take him to the emergency room. As of today, 1.17.2010 he still has kennel cough and pneumonia and is on 3 antibiotics (baytril, clavamox, and doxycline) as well as a nebulizer 2-3 times a day. We approached the pet store about this in a timely manner and he claims that he doesn't sell sick puppies and it was our fault that we paid so much money in hospital bills because we could have brought the puppy back to the pet store and he would have brought him back to health. He is very arrogant and shows no concern for the dogs at all and that it was heartbreaking for us to go through this watching a little tiny puppy try and fight this off. |

| How did you hear about shop | Just a local pet store that we walked into unfortunately not reading any reviews on it before hand. |
| Please describe conditions | The pet store is not clean. He has 40 puppies in stock at a time. He claims he sells 300 puppies a year. Some of them are even kept in cardboard boxes. They don't take care of the animals. When we picked up our puppy the owner said he was in good health and was fit for sale. He said if you bring him to our vet it will be a discounted price and if he needs any medications, we will pay for them. He knows exactly what is going on there because all the puppies are sick so he wants them to be taken to his vet so they don't tell us that the puppy is "unfit for sale" which they should have the 1st vet we took him too. |
